  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, August 13, 2026.
    The committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs, to whom was referred
the petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3890) of Steven George
Xiarhos relative to amending death and disability compensation for
members of the armed forces and the organized militia of the
Commonwealth, reports (under the provisions of House Rule 27)
recommending that the accompanying order (House, No. 5649) ought to
be adopted.

1  Ordered, That the committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs be authorized to sit during
2   a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of House document numbered
3   3890, relative to death and disability compensation for members of the armed forces.
4  Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
5   and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
6   recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
7   on or before December 31, 2026.
