PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS FOR MARIA4CORDOVA.5(a) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding subsections (a)6 and (b) of section 201 of the (Immigration and Nation-7 ality Act), Maria Cordova shall be eligible for the issuance8 of an immigrant visa or adjustment of status to that of9 an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence uponkjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB10 filing an application for issuance of an immigrant visa11 under section 204 of such Act or for adjustment of status12 to lawful permanent resident.VerDate Sep 11 2014 20:48 Aug 24, 2026 Jkt 069200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H10149.IH H1014921(b) ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS.—If Maria Cordova en-2 ters the United States before the filing deadline specified3 in subsection (c), she shall be considered to have entered4 and remained lawfully and shall, if otherwise eligible, be5 eligible for adjustment of status under section 245 of the6 Immigration and Nationality Act as of the date of enact-7 ment of this Act.8(c) WAIVERS OF GROUNDS FOR REMOVAL OR DE-9 NIAL OF ADMISSION.—10(1) IN GENERAL.—Notwithstanding sections11212(a) and 237(a) of the Immigration and Nation-12ality Act, Maria Cordova may not be removed from13the United States, denied admission to the United14States, or considered ineligible for lawful permanent15residence in the United States by reason of any16ground for removal or denial of admission that is re-17flected in the records of the Department of Home-18land Security or the Visa Office of the Department19of State on the date of the enactment of this Act.20(2) RECISSION OF OUTSTANDING ORDER OF RE-21MOVAL.—The Secretary of Homeland Security shall22rescind any outstanding order of removal or deporta-23tion, or any finding of inadmissibility or deport-kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB24ability, that has been entered against Maria Cordova25by reason of any ground described in paragraph (1).•HR 10149 IHVerDate Sep 11 2014 20:48 Aug 24, 2026 Jkt 069200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H10149.IH H1014931(d) DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION AND PAYMENT OF2 FEES.—Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if the ap-3 plication of issuance of immigrant visas or the application4 for adjustment of status is filed with the appropriate fees5 within 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act.6(e) REDUCTION OF IMMIGRANT VISA NUMBERS.—7 Upon the granting of immigrant visas or permanent resi-8 dence to Maria Cordova, the Secretary of State shall in-9 struct the proper officer to reduce by 1, during the current10 or next following fiscal year, the total number of immi-11 grant visas that are made available to natives of the coun-12 try of the aliens’ birth under section 203(a) of the Immi-13 gration and Nationality Act or, if applicable, the total14 number of immigrant visas that are made available to na-15 tives of the country of the aliens’ birth under section16 202(e) of such Act.17(f) DENIAL OF PREFERENTIAL IMMIGRATION TREAT-18 MENT FOR CERTAIN RELATIVES.—The natural parents,19 brothers, and sisters of Maria Cordova shall not, by virtue20 of such relationship, be accorded any right, privilege, or21 status under the Immigration and Nationality Act.Ækjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB•HR 10149 IHVerDate Sep 11 2014 20:48 Aug 24, 2026 Jkt 069200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H10149.IH H10149
