HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, August 24, 2026.
The committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, to
whom was referred the joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No.
5114) of David M. Rogers, William N. Brownsberger and others relative
to consumer connected devices, reports recommending that the
accompanying order (House, No. 5663) ought to be adopted.

Ordered, That the committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure be
authorized to sit during a recess of the General Court to make an investigation and study of
House document numbered 5114, relative to consumer connected devices.
Said committee shall report to the General Court the results of its investigation and study
and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such
recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the Clerk of the House of Representatives
on or before December 31, 2026.
