HOUSE BILL No. 2042
AN ACT concerning administrative rules and regulations; relating to hazardous waste
monitoring and permit application fees; authorizing the adoption of certain rules and
regulations by the department of health and environment.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
Section 1. Pursuant to K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 77-441, and
amendments thereto, the department of health and environment is
hereby authorized to adopt the following proposed permanent
administrative rules and regulations concerning hazardous waste
monitoring and permit application fees as identified and described in
the economic impact statement prepared by the department on August
22, 2025, and provided to the senate committee on agriculture and
natural resources on February 10, 2026: K.A.R. 28-31-10; and 28-31-
10b.
Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the Kansas register.
