SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 5
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Dr. Yu-Mei Liu, who is serving as Physician of the Day
  at the State Capitol on January 15, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Each day of the legislative session, a member of
  the Texas Academy of Family Physicians volunteers valuable time
  away from their practice to assist legislators and support staff
  at the Capitol health clinic; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Liu earned a doctor of medicine degree from
  The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed
  the Memorial Family Medicine residency program, and she has
  served as a board-certified family practice doctor for three
  decades; and
         WHEREAS, She currently specializes in family medicine at
  Ascension Seton Primary Care McCarthy in Austin, and her
  commitment to excellence is evidenced by her involvement with the
  Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of
  Family Medicine; and
         WHEREAS, An esteemed medical practitioner, Dr. Liu
  provides compassionate care for patients who place their trust in
  her for preventive wellness, routine care, and managing chronic
  conditions; she exemplifies the highest ideals of the medical
  profession, and it is indeed a pleasure to welcome her to the
  State Capitol; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
  Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Yu-Mei Liu for her participation
  in the Physician of the Day program and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
