Scott Moore is retiring fromPricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on June 30, 2025, drawing to a closean exemplary career in public accounting that has spanned morethan three and a half decades; andWHEREAS, A member of the PwC board, Mr. Moore is also themanaging partner of the firm's Dallas office; in addition, he isa member of the American Institute of Certified PublicAccountants and the Texas Society of Certified PublicAccountants; andWHEREAS, Mr. Moore's previous experience includes his workin the mergers and acquisitions practice at PwC's Boston officefor two years, and in 2007, he took on the role of retail andconsumer tax sector leader for the firm's U.S. operations; in2009, he became the North Texas tax market leader, and he heldthat position for six years before being named the North Texasmanaging partner; he went on to serve as the managing partner forthe Greater Texas market, which includes offices in Texas,Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and he ably led a practice ofover 4,000 public accounting professionals before assuming hiscurrent position; he holds bachelor's and master's degrees inaccounting from Texas Tech University; andWHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Moore is a formerboard chair for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and the DallasChildren's Advocacy Center, and he has served on the boards of thePwC SMU Athletic Forum, The Catholic Foundation, and the DallasTheater Center; he is also a past president of the St. ThomasAquinas School Advisory Council, and he has been involved in theDallas Regional Chamber and Leadership Dallas; andWHEREAS, The leadership, professionalism, and commitment toexcellence demonstrated by Scott Moore have made him an invaluableasset to PwC, and he may reflect with pride on a career well spentas he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now,therefore, be itRESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89thLegislature, hereby congratulate J.
