    By Representatives Sousa of Framingham and Garcia of Chelsea, a petition (accompanied by
    bill, House, No. 3417) of Priscila S. Sousa, Judith A. Garcia and others for the annual issuance of
    a proclamation by the Governor setting apart the sixteenth day of June as domestic workers’
    rights day. State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.

    An Act designating Domestic Workers' Rights Day.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
    of the same, as follows:
1  SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section
2   15TTTTT, the following section:—
3  Section 15UUUUU. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the
4   sixteenth day of June as Domestic Workers’ Rights Day, recommending its observance by the
5   public to honor all domestic workers who work in private homes and in recognition of
6   Massachusetts’ historic enactment of basic labor standards in the Domestic Workers’ Bill of
7   Rights and recommending that said day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
