14BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
15 act may be cited as the “Harmony Park Designation Act of 2026”.
16Sec. 2. Pursuant to sections 401 and 422 of the Street and Alley Closing and Acquisition
17 Procedures Act of 1982, effective March 10, 1983 (D.C. Law 4-201; D.C. Official Code §§ 9-
18 204.01, and 9-204.22), the Council designates the triangle park in Reservation 160, as depicted
19 in the plat in the committee report, as “Harmony Park”.
20Sec. 3. Applicability.
21(a) This act shall apply upon the date of inclusion of its fiscal effect in an approved
22 budget and financial plan.
23(b) The Chief Financial Officer shall certify the date of the inclusion of the fiscal effect in
24 an approved budget and financial plan, and provide notice to the Budget Director of the Council
25 of the certification.
26(c)(1) The Budget Director shall cause the notice of the certification to be published in
27 the District of Columbia Register.

28(2) The date of publication of the notice of the certification shall not affect the
29 applicability of this act.
30Sec. 4. Fiscal impact statement.
31The Council adopts the fiscal impact statement in the committee report as the fiscal
32 impact statement required by section 4a of the General Legislative Procedures Act of 1975,
33 approved October 16, 2006 (120 Stat. 2038; D.C. Official Code § 1-301.47a).
34Sec. 5. Effective date.
35This act shall take effect following approval by the Mayor (or in the event of veto by the
36 Mayor, action by the Council to override the veto), a 30-day period of congressional review as
37 provided in section 602(c)(1) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, approved December
38 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 813; D.C. Official Code §1-206.02(c)(1)), and publication in the District of
39 Columbia Register.
