No. R-193. House concurrent resolution congratulating the Thetford Academy
Panthers on winning a sixth consecutive Division III boys’ track and field
championship and for their victories and record-setting performances at the 2025
New England Interscholastic Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

  Whereas, as the Division III title holders for the past five seasons, the Panthers were
well-suited to extend their victory streak in the championship boys’ track and field
competition, and
   Whereas, at the 2025 decisive meet held at the D.G. Weaver Athletic Complex in
Burlington, Thetford Academy athletes scored first in the 100-meter, 400-meter, 800-
meter, and 1,500-meter dashes; the 4x100 and 4x800 relays; and the long jump, triple
jump, discus, and javelin events, and
   Whereas, this extensive set of wins enabled the Panthers to amass 164.5 points, far
ahead of runner-up White River Valley’s 65.5 points, for a spectacular sixth consecutive
championship triumph, and
   Whereas, an exciting coda to the 2025 season was Thetford Academy’s largest ever
presence at the New England Interscholastic Outdoor Track and Field Championship,
where the Panthers set three new Vermont State records, and for the first time earned two
championship medals in the long jump and 200–meter dash, and
   Whereas, the outstanding Panthers roster featured Hunter Clay, Connor Gaine, Uly
Junker-Boyce, Miguel Kutter-Walker, Luke Miller, Liam Murphy, Hardy Payson,
Oliver Ransom, Evan Rich, Bryce Rikert, Brady Sloop, Ramona Spellman, David
Stangner, Matthew Vivian, Isaac Yukica, Wendell Durham, Daniel Mann, Elijah Renner,
Emmett Terry, David Thaxton, Henry Trage, Oliver Emery, Tanner Hardy, Paul Kidd,
Jesse Martin, Benjamin Nalette, Kit Payson, Sebastian Perdrizet, Jacob Phelps, Connor
Sloop, Jay Hill, David Mitchell, Eli Murphy, and Stone Riegler, and
   Whereas, co-head coaches Joel Breakstone and Emily Silver; assistant coaches Cole
Chapman, Max Higgins, Charlie Buttrey, Charlize Brown, and Vanessa Riegler; and
Team Manager Twyla Weinstein were all thrilled with the Panthers’ stupendous success
in 2025, now therefore be it
   Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives:
   That the General Assembly congratulates the Thetford Academy Panthers on winning
a sixth consecutive Division III boys’ track and field championship and for their victories
and record-setting performances at the 2025 New England Interscholastic Outdoor Track
and Field Championship, and be it further
  Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to
Thetford Academy.
