3Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
4 existence and functioning of the Alabama Private Investigation
5 Board until October 1, 2028.
6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
7Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
8 Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Alabama
9 Private Investigation Board until October 1, 2028.
10Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Alabama
11 Private Investigation Board, created and functioning pursuant
12 to Sections 34-25B-1 to 34-25B-54, inclusive, Code of Alabama
13 1975, is continued until October 1, 2028, and those code
14 sections are expressly preserved.
15Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
16 recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
17 Sections 1 and 2.
18Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
19 2026.
