3Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the
4 existence and functioning of the Alabama Board of Examiners in
5 Counseling until October 1, 2028.
6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
7Section 1. Pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law, the
8 Sunset Committee recommends the continuance of the Alabama
9 Board of Examiners in Counseling until October 1, 2028.
10Section 2. The existence and functioning of the Alabama
11 Board of Examiners in Counseling, created and functioning
12 pursuant to Sections 34-8A-1 to 34-8A-24, inclusive, Code of
13 Alabama 1975, is continued until October 1, 2028, and those
14 code sections are expressly preserved.
15Section 3. The Legislature concurs in the
16 recommendations of the Sunset Committee as provided in
17 Sections 1 and 2.
18Section 4. This act shall become effective June 1,
19 2026.
