sb2188/introduced.txtMISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE2026 Regular SessionTo: AppropriationsBy: Senator(s) BlackmonSenate Bill 2188AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF LEXINGTON,MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACQUISITIONOF AN INDUSTRIAL VACUUM AND JETTER TRUCK TO MAINTAIN THE CITY'S SEWER SYSTEMFOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027.���� BEIT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:SECTION 1.�The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out ofany money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City ofLexington, Mississippi, for the purpose of defraying costs associated with theacquisition of an industrial vacuum and jetter truck to maintain the city'ssewer system for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30,2027.... $ 370,000.00.���� SECTION2.� The money appropriated by thisact shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State GeneralFund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State FiscalOfficer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or her warrants uponrequisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the mannerprovided by law.���� SECTION3.� This act shall take effect and bein force from and after July 1, 2026.
