                                11   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HEALTH CARE AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE
                                12   MEDICAID-DIRECTED PAYMENTS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
                                13   HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING GRADUATE
                                14   MEDICAL EDUCATION RESIDENT AND FELLOW SALARIES.

                                16   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

                                17        SECTION 1.   APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars

                                18   ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
                                19   health care authority for expenditure in fiscal year 2027 to
                                20   provide medicaid-directed payments to the university of New
                                21   Mexico health sciences center for the purpose of increasing
                                22   graduate medical education resident and fellow salaries.     Any
                                23   unexpended balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027
                                24   shall revert to the general fund.
