1		HOUSE RESOLUTION
2		    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3		Representatives wish to congratulate Yolina Lindquist on the
4		occasion of being named Miss Cosmo 2025; and
5		    WHEREAS, Miss Cosmo is an annual, international pageant
6		hosted by UNICorp and UNIMedia in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam;
7		the pageant was established in 2023 and held its inaugural
8		pageant in 2024; and
9		    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist, a Metropolis native and a
10		graduate of Southern Illinois University, earned the title of
11		Miss Cosmo in December 2025; and
12		    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist has built an outstanding record
13		of achievement and success while distinguishing herself for
14		her dedication and poise; through being named Miss Cosmo, she
15		has further earned the distinction of becoming the first
16		American woman to earn the title, a significant accomplishment
17		reflecting talent, confidence, and commitment; and
18		    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist winning the Miss Cosmo title is
19		a noteworthy achievement that required discipline, hard work,
20		and perseverance, and she serves as an inspiration to others
21		who strive to pursue their goals with determination and

1		integrity; and
2		    WHEREAS, Yolina Lindquist's success has not only brought
3		pride to the community of Metropolis and the entire State of
4		Illinois but also highlights the positive impact that a
5		person's individual accomplishments and leadership can have on
6		society; therefore, be it
7		    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8		HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9		we congratulate Yolina Lindquist on being named Miss Cosmo
10		2025, and we extend our best wishes for her continued success
11		in all of her future endeavors; and be it further
12		    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13		presented to Yolina Lindquist as a symbol of our esteem and
14		respect.
