11 MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR
12 ACTIVITY BUSES.

14 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
15 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars
16 ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the

17 public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2027

18 for grants to small rural school districts for the purchase of
19 buses for student activities. Any unexpended balance remaining
20 at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general
21 fund.
