Baca5 and Gabriel Ramos and Tanya Mirabal Moya678910 AN ACT11 RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS; ADDING A PERMITTED USE FOR MONEY IN12 THE TRANSPORTATION EMERGENCY FUND.1314 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:15 SECTION 1. Section 22-8-29.6 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1995,16 Chapter 208, Section 15, as amended) is amended to read:[bracketed material] = delete17 "22-8-29.6. TRANSPORTATION EMERGENCY FUND.--underscored material = new18 A. The "transportation emergency fund" is created19 in the state treasury. Money in the fund shall not revert to20 the general fund at the end of any fiscal year. Money in the21 fund is appropriated to the department for the purpose of22 funding transportation emergencies, including fuel price23 increases and grants to small rural school districts for the24 purchase of buses for student activities. The secretary shall25 make distributions to ensure the safety of students receiving.233371.21 to-and-from transportation services.2 B.
