             RESOLUTION No. _____
1    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing and
2 honoring volunteer firefighters with 50 years or more of service.
3   Whereas, These brave and dedicated volunteer firefighters
4 have served with courage, risking their lives each day to protect
5 their communities from the threat of fire;
6   Whereas, For at least 50 years, these volunteer firefighters
7 have answered the call when fire struck Hoosier communities,
8 selflessly setting aside all else to protect and serve those in
9 need;
10   Whereas, It requires, a deep commitment to helping others,
11 and a strong dedication to the community, and the willingness
12 to sacrifice precious time with family and friends to respond to
13 a neighbor in need;
14   Whereas, These brave volunteer firefighters have heroically
15 performed, throughout 50 years of devoted service, above and
16 beyond the call of duty in fulfilling the vital tasks and
17 responsibilities of fire protection; and
18   Whereas, The distinguished service of these volunteer
19 firefighters has brought pride and honor to the state of Indiana:
20 Therefore,
21Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
22of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
23the Senate concurring:

1   SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes
2 and honors the following volunteer firefighters that have spent
3 50 years or more serving communities across Indiana: Stephen
