                                11   MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE
                                12   UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO SUPPORT STUDENT ATHLETES.

                                14   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
                                15        SECTION 1.   APPROPRIATION.--Five million dollars
                                16   ($5,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board

                                17   of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in

                                18   fiscal year 2027 to support student athletes, including travel,
                                19   nutrition and overall student athlete needs.   Any unexpended
                                20   balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert
                                21   to the general fund.
