hr4684/introduced.txtHOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2026-4684, by Representatives Stearns, Richards,Parshley, Abell, Duerr, Salahuddin, Callan, Ryu, Pollet, Leavitt, Zahn, Fitzgibbon,Fosse, Hackney, Eslick, and Barnard1 WHEREAS, The people of Ireland and the people of Washington state2 have formed a mutually prosperous relationship from across the3 Atlantic Ocean; and4 WHEREAS, The cities of Seattle and Galway have been sister cities5 since 1986, engaging in trade, tourism, education exchange programs,6 and other meaningful projects, which have improved the health and7 well-being of the residents of both great cities for nearly 40 years;8 and9 WHEREAS, Ireland is known for innovation as a host for technology10 companies with deep roots in Washington that continue to make11 advancements in global technologies; and12 WHEREAS, The people and economies of Washington state and Ireland13 thrive due to trade in technology, aerospace, agriculture, and14 energy, exceeding a total of one billion dollars annually;15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington state House16 of Representatives recognizes the strong partnership between the17 people of our state and the people of Ireland.--- END ---p. 1 HR 4684
