hr4130/introduced.txtSECOND REGULAR SESSIONHOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 4130103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLYINTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVE VEIT.7116H.01I JOSEPH ENGLER, Chief ClerkWHEREAS, the General Assembly deems it worthy to support and encourage any2 programs that exist to provide Missouri's senior citizens with an opportunity to utilize their3 experience and knowledge in a positive and meaningful way; and45WHEREAS, the General Assembly also deems it worthy to support programs that are6 designed to provide participants with opportunities to develop better citizenship and7 leadership qualities; and89WHEREAS, the Silver Haired Legislature is a program that helps ensure senior10 citizens have a voice in state government while giving its participants a unique insight into the11 legislative process; and1213WHEREAS, the General Assembly has a long tradition of granting the use of its14 Chambers to such programs:1516NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the Missouri17 House of Representatives, One Hundred Third General Assembly, hereby grant the18 participants of the Silver Haired Legislature permission to use the House Chamber for the19 purpose of their regular session on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:0020 p.m.; and2122BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sponsor of this House Resolution,23 Representative Rudy Veit, or his designee, shall be present in the House Chamber and shall24 assume responsibility for the group's actions for the duration of the aforementioned event.2526 Special note: Participants in the aforementioned event shall conduct themselves in a manner27 that preserves the dignity and honor of the House of Representatives. Such persons shall28 behave respectfully and dress appropriately for the occasion. Food items, drinks, andHR 4130 229 smoking are prohibited on the floor of the House and lower gallery, and participants shall30 refrain from any conduct that diminishes the decorum of the House Chamber.31Access to the dais is limited to the Speaker's podium for purposes of using the32 microphone to speak to those assembled. Access to the staff area behind the rostrum is33 prohibited.34Group photographs; the hanging of any banners or other items on the walls, curtains,35 or any surface within the House Chamber; and the use of any equipment, including36 computers, phones, or other items on the dais and rostrum area, are also prohibited.✔
