1A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Vincente Lorenz, an
2   educator at Kokomo High School, for his distinguished service
3   as a teacher and the accolades he has earned.
4Whereas, Vincente Lorenz has served as a distinguished
5   science educator at Kokomo High School since 2012, where he
6   has been a pillar of the Wildkat faculty and a trusted mentor to
7   countless students;
8Whereas, Mr. Lorenz specializes in a broad range of
9   scientific disciplines, including Earth Science, Astronomy,
10   Meteorology, Physical and Historical Geology, and
11   International Baccalaureate Environmental Systems and
12   Societies;
13Whereas, Mr. Lorenz's teaching philosophy is informed by
14   a global academic background, including the completion of a
15   Master of Science in Science Education through Montana State
16   University's Nepal Educational Connection, an immersive
17   program conducted in the Himalayan Mountains that
18   integrated geology, biology, physics, and sociology;

1Whereas, Mr. Lorenz is committed to providing students
2   with transformative, hands-on learning opportunities that
3   connect classroom instruction to real-world scientific
4   application, including leading the annual “Experience the
5   Wildcat” program and educational expeditions to the Great
6   Smoky Mountains Institute;
7Whereas, Mr. Lorenz’s innovative approach to science
8   education has earned widespread recognition at the local,
9   state, and national levels, including multiple awards for
10   excellence in teaching and educational leadership; and
11Whereas, Through his dedication, leadership, and passion
12   for experiential science education, Vincente Lorenz continues
13   to inspire students to challenge themselves, engage deeply with
14   the natural world, and develop a lifelong appreciation for
15   learning: Therefore,
16Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
17General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
18SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
19   honors and commends Vincente Lorenz for his outstanding
20   service as a science educator at Kokomo High School and for
21   his dedication to experiential learning, academic excellence,
22   and student growth.
23SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
24   Representatives shall transmit copies to State Representative
25   Michael Karickhoff for distribution.
