hr0038/introduced.txt*HR1535*Introduced VersionHOUSERESOLUTION No. ___Introduced by: Steuerwald____________________________________1A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring State Representative2 Michael Karickhoff.3Whereas, State Representative Mike Karickhoff has faithfully4 served the citizens of Indiana since his election to the Indiana5 House of Representatives in 2010, representing House District6 30, which includes portions of Grant and Howard counties;7Whereas, Throughout his tenure, Representative Karickhoff8 has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to9 public service, currently serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of the10 Indiana House of Representatives, providing steady guidance11 to his colleagues and the legislative process;12Whereas, Representative Karickhoff has served with13 distinction on numerous legislative committees, including14 Natural Resources, Government and Regulatory Reform, Rules20262393HR 1535/DI 140 202621 and Legislative Procedures, and a decade on Ways and Means,2 contributing thoughtful, principled leadership on issues critical3 to the State of Indiana;4Whereas, Before and alongside his legislative service,5 Representative Karickhoff has been deeply engaged in civic and6 community leadership, including service on the Kokomo7 Common Council from 2004 to 2010, serving as president and8 finance chairman, and participating in numerous local and9 regional organizations dedicated to economic development,10 philanthropy, youth mentorship, and public well-being;11Whereas, Representative Karickhoff's lifelong commitment12 to service has been recognized through numerous honors and13 awards, including multiple "Legislator of the Year"14 recognitions, the Sagamore of the Wabash, awarded by15 Governors Mike Pence and Eric Holcomb, the Retired Indiana16 Public Employees Association Legislative Champion Award,17 and many other state and community distinctions; and18Whereas, Representative Karickhoff has exemplified19 integrity, dedication, and compassion in public service for more20 than four decades, while remaining devoted to his family,21 including his wife, Kelly, their four daughters, and their eleven22 grandchildren, and to the communities he has served:23 Therefore,24Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the25General Assembly of the State of Indiana:26SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives27 honors State Representative Mike Karickhoff for his exemplary28 service to the State of Indiana, his enduring leadership, and his29 profound contributions to public policy, community30 development, and the lives of Hoosiers.31SECTION 2.
