1A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring State Representative
2    Michael Karickhoff.
3Whereas, State Representative Mike Karickhoff has faithfully
4    served the citizens of Indiana since his election to the Indiana
5    House of Representatives in 2010, representing House District
6    30, which includes portions of Grant and Howard counties;
7Whereas, Throughout his tenure, Representative Karickhoff
8    has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to
9    public service, currently serving as Speaker Pro Tempore of the
10    Indiana House of Representatives, providing steady guidance
11    to his colleagues and the legislative process;
12Whereas, Representative Karickhoff has served with
13    distinction on numerous legislative committees, including
14    Natural Resources, Government and Regulatory Reform, Rules

1    and Legislative Procedures, and a decade on Ways and Means,
2    contributing thoughtful, principled leadership on issues critical
3    to the State of Indiana;
4Whereas, Before and alongside his legislative service,
5    Representative Karickhoff has been deeply engaged in civic and
6    community leadership, including service on the Kokomo
7    Common Council from 2004 to 2010, serving as president and
8    finance chairman, and participating in numerous local and
9    regional organizations dedicated to economic development,
10    philanthropy, youth mentorship, and public well-being;
11Whereas, Representative Karickhoff's lifelong commitment
12    to service has been recognized through numerous honors and
13    awards, including multiple "Legislator of the Year"
14    recognitions, the Sagamore of the Wabash, awarded by
15    Governors Mike Pence and Eric Holcomb, the Retired Indiana
16    Public Employees Association Legislative Champion Award,
17    and many other state and community distinctions; and
18Whereas, Representative Karickhoff has exemplified
19    integrity, dedication, and compassion in public service for more
20    than four decades, while remaining devoted to his family,
21    including his wife, Kelly, their four daughters, and their eleven
22    grandchildren, and to the communities he has served:
23    Therefore,
24Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
25General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
26SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
27    honors State Representative Mike Karickhoff for his exemplary
28    service to the State of Indiana, his enduring leadership, and his
29    profound contributions to public policy, community
30    development, and the lives of Hoosiers.
31SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
32    Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to
33    Representative Michael Karickhoff as an expression of
34    gratitude and appreciation, with best wishes for continued
35    success and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.
