8 Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to create a New
9 England Organ Bank specialty registration plate for use on motor vehicles
10 weighing 26,000 pounds or less. The specialty registration plates would bear a
11 graphic design intended to enhance public awareness of organ donation and
12 would include the words “donate life.” Proceeds from the plates would be
13 deposited in the Organ and Tissue Donation Special Fund and would be used
14 to support organ and tissue donation in Vermont.
