3 CONGRATULATING ELAINE SESSIONS ON BEING NAMED THE SOUTHWEST
4 MOBILE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR.
5
6WHEREAS, it is with great pride and distinct pleasure
7 that we recognize and commend Elaine Sessions on being named
8 the 2025 Citizen of the Year by the Southwest Mobile County
9 Chamber of Commerce, an honor reflecting her extraordinary
10 dedication to service and her steadfast commitment to
11 improving the lives of others; and
12WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions exemplifies the highest
13 ideals of citizenship; as a respected professional,
14 compassionate servant leader, and tireless advocate for her
15 community, she has consistently gone above and beyond to be
16 a source of light, leadership, and encouragement throughout
17 Mobile County; and
18WHEREAS, this distinguished award recognizes not only
19 her decades of professional excellence but also her lifelong
20 devotion to community service; an associate broker with
21 Roberts Brothers Realtors, Elaine Sessions has devoted 48
22 years to the real estate profession; she began her career
23 while teaching high school in Grand Bay and Theodore and
24 later taught real estate classes for more than 35 years,
25 shaping and mentoring countless professionals; today, she
26 continues to lead and inspire a successful team of agents,
27 generously sharing her knowledge and experience with others
28 in the field; and

29WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions' commitment to service
30 extends well beyond her professional achievements; she
31 faithfully serves on the board of McKemie Place, a homeless
32 shelter for women, where she and her husband, Al, prepare
33 weekly meals and provide clothing and essential items; their
34 home often becomes a center for organizing donations for
35 McKemie Place, Our Sisters' Closet, and the Tillman's Corner
36 Homeless and Needy Outreach; she also assists in furnishing
37 homes for residents transitioning into permanent housing,
38 helping restore dignity and stability to those in need; and
39WHEREAS, for more than a decade, Elaine Sessions has
40 faithfully mentored a young woman, her "Little," through the
41 Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program, guiding her
42 from second grade through college graduation; she has
43 further invested in young people by supporting
44 career-shadowing opportunities and the T.A.L.L. Program, and
45 by sponsoring Pearl Haskew Elementary School's Star Student
46 program, encouraging academic achievement and responsible
47 citizenship; and
48WHEREAS, Elaine and Al Sessions graciously open their
49 home to host a weekly Bible study, assist with monthly meals
50 at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and lend their
51 support to numerous organizations, including St. Jude
52 Children's Research Hospital, the Child Advocacy Center,
53 Samaritan's Purse, Waterfront Rescue Mission, Seaman's
54 Center, the Salvation Army, and the Alabama Baptist
55 Children's Home; and
56WHEREAS, as a devoted member of Dayspring Baptist

57 Church, Elaine Sessions actively participates in the Women's
58 Ministry and continually gives of her time, energy, and
59 compassion to uplift and strengthen those around her; and
60WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions' unwavering commitment to
61 her community is matched only by her humility and
62 generosity; whether volunteering, mentoring, fundraising, or
63 offering a helping hand, she approaches every opportunity
64 with sincerity and enthusiasm, inspiring all who know her to
65 serve with the same spirit of excellence; now therefore,
66BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
67 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we hereby recognize and
68 commend Elaine Sessions for her exemplary service and for
69 being named the 2025 Southwest Mobile County Chamber of
70 Commerce Citizen of the Year, and we extend to her our
71 highest esteem and warmest wishes for continued success and
72 abundant blessings in all future endeavors.
