Enrolled, An Act,
CONGRATULATING ELAINE SESSIONS ON BEING NAMED THE SOUTHWEST
MOBILE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR.
WHEREAS, it is with great pride and distinct pleasure
that we recognize and commend Elaine Sessions on being named
the 2025 Citizen of the Year by the Southwest Mobile County
Chamber of Commerce, an honor reflecting her extraordinary
dedication to service and her steadfast commitment to
improving the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions exemplifies the highest
ideals of citizenship; as a respected professional,
compassionate servant leader, and tireless advocate for her
community, she has consistently gone above and beyond to be
a source of light, leadership, and encouragement throughout
Mobile County; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished award recognizes not only
her decades of professional excellence but also her lifelong
devotion to community service; an associate broker with
Roberts Brothers Realtors, Elaine Sessions has devoted 48
years to the real estate profession; she began her career
while teaching high school in Grand Bay and Theodore and
later taught real estate classes for more than 35 years,
shaping and mentoring countless professionals; today, she
continues to lead and inspire a successful team of agents,
generously sharing her knowledge and experience with others
in the field; and

WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions' commitment to service
extends well beyond her professional achievements; she
faithfully serves on the board of McKemie Place, a homeless
shelter for women, where she and her husband, Al, prepare
weekly meals and provide clothing and essential items; their
home often becomes a center for organizing donations for
McKemie Place, Our Sisters' Closet, and the Tillman's Corner
Homeless and Needy Outreach; she also assists in furnishing
homes for residents transitioning into permanent housing,
helping restore dignity and stability to those in need; and
WHEREAS, for more than a decade, Elaine Sessions has
faithfully mentored a young woman, her "Little," through the
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program, guiding her
from second grade through college graduation; she has
further invested in young people by supporting
career-shadowing opportunities and the T.A.L.L. Program, and
by sponsoring Pearl Haskew Elementary School's Star Student
program, encouraging academic achievement and responsible
citizenship; and
WHEREAS, Elaine and Al Sessions graciously open their
home to host a weekly Bible study, assist with monthly meals
at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and lend their
support to numerous organizations, including St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital, the Child Advocacy Center,
Samaritan's Purse, Waterfront Rescue Mission, Seaman's
Center, the Salvation Army, and the Alabama Baptist
Children's Home; and
WHEREAS, as a devoted member of Dayspring Baptist

Church, Elaine Sessions actively participates in the Women's
Ministry and continually gives of her time, energy, and
compassion to uplift and strengthen those around her; and
WHEREAS, Elaine Sessions' unwavering commitment to
her community is matched only by her humility and
generosity; whether volunteering, mentoring, fundraising, or
offering a helping hand, she approaches every opportunity
with sincerity and enthusiasm, inspiring all who know her to
serve with the same spirit of excellence; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we hereby recognize and
commend Elaine Sessions for her exemplary service and for
being named the 2025 Southwest Mobile County Chamber of
Commerce Citizen of the Year, and we extend to her our
highest esteem and warmest wishes for continued success and
abundant blessings in all future endeavors.
