PRESIDENT:I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:1 A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Candace Hall upon2 her retirement from the Indiana Senate.3 Whereas, Hailing from Morgantown, Indiana, Candace4 Hall joined the Legislative Services Agency in the summer of5 2002;6 Whereas, After a brief stint at LSA, Candace joined the7 Indiana Senate as the Bookkeeper at the end of 2003, then8 became the Assistant Majority Secretary of the Senate on July9 7, 2013;10 Whereas, As Assistant Majority Secretary of the Senate,11 Candace was a lead member of the Senate Front Desk Team,12 assisted in filing thousands of bills, resolutions, amendments,13 and committee reports, and was a key contact for both retiree14 support and Senate emergencies;15 Whereas, Candace ensured the morale of members and16 staff remained high through her dedication to the legislative17 process and by bringing in McDonald's for the third floor every18 third reading deadline;2026 RR 3537/DI JR21 Whereas, Outside of her time in the Senate, Candace spent2 much of her time with her kids, parents, and grandchildren, and3 continues to spend time with her dobermans, Raven and Rebel,4 who are trained to do search and rescue through the American5 Patriot K9 Search Team;6 Whereas, On December 5, 2025, Candace retired from the7 Indiana Senate after more than twenty years of service to spend8 more time with family and increase her time doing search and9 rescue; and10 Whereas, Candace Hall is a valued member of the Indiana11 Senate extended family and will be greatly missed: Therefore,12Be it resolved by the Senate of the13General Assembly of the State of Indiana:14 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate honors Candace Hall15 upon her retirement from the Indiana Senate, and wishes her16 and her family all the best.17 SECTION 2.
