SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MR. PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Candace Hall upon
her retirement from the Indiana Senate.
Whereas, Hailing from Morgantown, Indiana, Candace
Hall joined the Legislative Services Agency in the summer of
2002;
Whereas, After a brief stint at LSA, Candace joined the
Indiana Senate as the Bookkeeper at the end of 2003, then
became the Assistant Majority Secretary of the Senate on July
7, 2013;
Whereas, As Assistant Majority Secretary of the Senate,
Candace was a lead member of the Senate Front Desk Team,
assisted in filing thousands of bills, resolutions, amendments,
and committee reports, and was a key contact for both retiree
support and Senate emergencies;
Whereas, Candace ensured the morale of members and
staff remained high through her dedication to the legislative
process and by bringing in McDonald's for the third floor every
third reading deadline;

Whereas, Outside of her time in the Senate, Candace spent
much of her time with her kids, parents, and grandchildren, and
continues to spend time with her dobermans, Raven and Rebel,
who are trained to do search and rescue through the American
Patriot K9 Search Team;
Whereas, On December 5, 2025, Candace retired from the
Indiana Senate after more than twenty years of service to spend
more time with family and increase her time doing search and
rescue; and
Whereas, Candace Hall is a valued member of the Indiana
Senate extended family and will be greatly missed: Therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the
General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate honors Candace Hall
upon her retirement from the Indiana Senate, and wishes her
and her family all the best.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
to transmit copies of this Resolution to Candace Hall.
