PRESIDENT:I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:1 A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating the Indiana2 Wesleyan University volleyball team on winning the National3 Association of Intercollegiate Athletics ("NAIA") National4 Championship title.5 Whereas, The Indiana Wesleyan University ("IWU")6 women's volleyball team won the NAIA national championship7 on December 9, 2025, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City,8 Iowa;9 Whereas, The national championship win marked their10 third consecutive NAIA national championship victory and a11 remarkable 33-4 season for the IWU Wildcats;12 Whereas, The team consists of teammates Camaya Murry,13 Abbigail Porter, Cadee Notter, Ella Mauck, Alex Lloyd, Ava14 Barnes, Avery Caskey, Avery Beall, Shae Williams, Jaycee15 Folkers, Marissa Mullins, Allysen Fullenkamp, Marin Sanchez,16 Daniella Joseph, Jessica Ickes, Breanna Tubergen, Autumn17 Colehour, Eva Joldersma, Dayessi Luis, and Jade Rodriguez;18 Whereas, The IWU Wildcats beat the Corban University19 Cadmars in the quarter-final game 3 sets to 2, and then went on2026 RR 3539/DI LW21 to win against the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers in2 a thrilling semi-final match-up 3 sets to 2;3 Whereas, Facing off against Northwestern College, the4 IWU Wildcats won a tightly contested first set 25-23;5 Whereas, After dropping in the second set 23-25, IWU6 responded with commanding performances in the third and7 fourth sets, holding firm through back-and-forth play before8 closing out both sets with decisive runs;9 Whereas, Senior setter Abbigail Porter capped her career10 with forty-six of the sixty-one total assists in the championship11 match, pushing her over five thousand assists for her career;12 Whereas, Tournament MVP Eva Joldersma led the team to13 victory, scoring 20 kills with a .230 hitting percentage; and14 Whereas, The IWU Wildcats, led by coach Candace Moats,15 won their third consecutive national championship title with a16 score of 3-1: Therefore,17Be it resolved by the Senate of the18General Assembly of the State of Indiana:19 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates the20 Indiana Wesleyan University women's volleyball team on21 winning the 2025 NAIA National Championship.22 SECTION 2.
