MR. PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating the Indiana
Wesleyan University volleyball team on winning the National
Association of Intercollegiate Athletics ("NAIA") National
Championship title.
Whereas, The Indiana Wesleyan University ("IWU")
women's volleyball team won the NAIA national championship
on December 9, 2025, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City,
Iowa;
Whereas, The national championship win marked their
third consecutive NAIA national championship victory and a
remarkable 33-4 season for the IWU Wildcats;
Whereas, The team consists of teammates Camaya Murry,
Abbigail Porter, Cadee Notter, Ella Mauck, Alex Lloyd, Ava
Barnes, Avery Caskey, Avery Beall, Shae Williams, Jaycee
Folkers, Marissa Mullins, Allysen Fullenkamp, Marin Sanchez,
Daniella Joseph, Jessica Ickes, Breanna Tubergen, Autumn
Colehour, Eva Joldersma, Dayessi Luis, and Jade Rodriguez;
Whereas, The IWU Wildcats beat the Corban University
Cadmars in the quarter-final game 3 sets to 2, and then went on

to win against the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers in
a thrilling semi-final match-up 3 sets to 2;
Whereas, Facing off against Northwestern College, the
IWU Wildcats won a tightly contested first set 25-23;
Whereas, After dropping in the second set 23-25, IWU
responded with commanding performances in the third and
fourth sets, holding firm through back-and-forth play before
closing out both sets with decisive runs;
Whereas, Senior setter Abbigail Porter capped her career
with forty-six of the sixty-one total assists in the championship
match, pushing her over five thousand assists for her career;
Whereas, Tournament MVP Eva Joldersma led the team to
victory, scoring 20 kills with a .230 hitting percentage; and
Whereas, The IWU Wildcats, led by coach Candace Moats,
won their third consecutive national championship title with a
score of 3-1: Therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the
General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates the
Indiana Wesleyan University women's volleyball team on
winning the 2025 NAIA National Championship.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
to transmit copies of this Resolution to the coach and members
of the Indiana Wesleyan University women's volleyball team.
