         SENATE RESOLUTION ____
     MR. PRESIDENT:
     I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1    A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating the Indiana
2 Wesleyan University volleyball team on winning the National
3 Association of Intercollegiate Athletics ("NAIA") National
4 Championship title.
5     Whereas, The Indiana Wesleyan University ("IWU")
6 women's volleyball team won the NAIA national championship
7 on December 9, 2025, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City,
8 Iowa;
9     Whereas, The national championship win marked their
10 third consecutive NAIA national championship victory and a
11 remarkable 33-4 season for the IWU Wildcats;
12     Whereas, The team consists of teammates Camaya Murry,
13 Abbigail Porter, Cadee Notter, Ella Mauck, Alex Lloyd, Ava
14 Barnes, Avery Caskey, Avery Beall, Shae Williams, Jaycee
15 Folkers, Marissa Mullins, Allysen Fullenkamp, Marin Sanchez,
16 Daniella Joseph, Jessica Ickes, Breanna Tubergen, Autumn
17 Colehour, Eva Joldersma, Dayessi Luis, and Jade Rodriguez;
18    Whereas, The IWU Wildcats beat the Corban University
19 Cadmars in the quarter-final game 3 sets to 2, and then went on

1 to win against the Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers in
2 a thrilling semi-final match-up 3 sets to 2;
3    Whereas, Facing off against Northwestern College, the
4 IWU Wildcats won a tightly contested first set 25-23;
5     Whereas, After dropping in the second set 23-25, IWU
6 responded with commanding performances in the third and
7 fourth sets, holding firm through back-and-forth play before
8 closing out both sets with decisive runs;
9     Whereas, Senior setter Abbigail Porter capped her career
10 with forty-six of the sixty-one total assists in the championship
11 match, pushing her over five thousand assists for her career;
12     Whereas, Tournament MVP Eva Joldersma led the team to
13 victory, scoring 20 kills with a .230 hitting percentage; and
14     Whereas, The IWU Wildcats, led by coach Candace Moats,
15 won their third consecutive national championship title with a
16 score of 3-1: Therefore,
17Be it resolved by the Senate of the
18General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
19      SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates the
20 Indiana Wesleyan University women's volleyball team on
21 winning the 2025 NAIA National Championship.
22      SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
23 to transmit copies of this Resolution to the coach and members
24 of the Indiana Wesleyan University women's volleyball team.
