hr420/introduced.txtCommending practitioners of Falun Dafa in Virginia.WHEREAS, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, teaches its 100 million practitioners around the world to incorporate truthfulness and compassion into all aspects of their daily lives; andWHEREAS, since July 1999, Falun Dafa practitioners have demonstrated peaceful resistance and moral courage in the face of unprecedented persecution by the Chinese Communist Party, touching the hearts of many, changing history, and continuing to inspire all who face this ever-aggressive regime; andWHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners in Virginia have traveled throughout the Commonwealth to warn Virginians about the risks of going to the People's Republic of China for an organ transplant, citing credible reports that the communist regime has killed practitioners of Falun Dafa and other prisoners of conscience in order to sell their organs; andWHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners play an important role in communities across the Commonwealth, inspiring others through their commitment to faith and servant leadership; now, therefore, be itRESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That practitioners of Falun Dafa in Virginia hereby be commended for raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa members around the world and for their contributions to the Commonwealth; and, be itRESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to practitioners of Falun Dafa in Virginia as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for their dedication to serving others.
