 WILDLIFE/MGT AREAS: Authorizes the use of airboats in the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife
  Management Area
1AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 56:109.5 and to repeal R.S. 56:109.4, relative to the use of airboats; to provide
3for the use of airboats within the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area; and
4to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6Section 1. R.S. 56:109.5 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7§109.5. Use of airboats on the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area
8Use of airboats within the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area shall
9be permitted.
10Section 2. R.S. 56:109.4 is hereby repealed in its entirety.

 Proposed law permits the use of airboats within the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management
 Area.
 Proposed law repeals the provisions in present law which terminated in 2019 permitting the
 use of airboats in the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area on airboat trails and
 providing for promulgation of rules and regulations and for violations.
