h0972/introduced.txtLEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHOSixty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2026IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESHOUSE BILL NO. 972BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE1AN ACT2 RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE; AP-3 PROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE4 FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027;5 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:7 SECTION 1. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law,8 there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health and Welfare for9 the Division of Welfare the following amounts to be expended for operating10 expenditures from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2026, through June11 30, 2027, for the purpose of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ad-12 ministration:13 Cooperative Welfare (General) Fund $351,00014 Cooperative Welfare (Federal) Fund 163,00015 TOTAL $514,00016 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby17 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after18 July 1, 2026.
