                          BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1AN ACT
2  RELATING TO THE APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE; AP-
3      PROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE
4      FOR THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027;
5      AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
7      SECTION 1. In addition to any other appropriation provided by law,
8  there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health and Welfare for
9  the Division of Welfare the following amounts to be expended for operating
10 expenditures from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2026, through June
11 30, 2027, for the purpose of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ad-
12 ministration:
13 Cooperative Welfare (General) Fund  $351,000
14 Cooperative Welfare (Federal) Fund  163,000
15  TOTAL  $514,000
16     SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
17 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after
18 July 1, 2026.
