Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 216B.1691, is amended by adding a subdivision1.7 to read:1.8Subd. 11. Municipal electric utility exemption. (a) A municipal electric utility located1.9 in the city of Hibbing that was in operation before the commission's decision in docket1.10 number 24-352 is exempt from:1.11(1) a requirement to submit a facility specific life-cycle analysis of waste-derived fuel;1.12(2) a requirement to submit a fuel mix report; and1.13(3) reevaluation requirements.1.14(b) The electricity generated by waste-derived fuel at a municipal electric utility must1.15 be considered when determining whether the municipal electric utility satisfies the eligible1.16 energy technology standard under subdivision 2a.Section 1. 1
