Sayne, the son of Mary7 "Kathy" Even Sayne and Robert Sayne, was born in Henderson,8 Kentucky on November 28, 1979; he graduated from Effingham9 High School; he married Thania Agustin in Reno, Nevada on10 October 17, 2009; and11 WHEREAS, Sgt. Sayne began serving in the United States12 Army in 2008; he was stationed in Alaska, and he was assigned13 to B Troop, 5-1 Calvary, 1/25 Stryker Brigade Combat Team14 (SBCT), 25th Infantry Division; and15 WHEREAS, Sgt. Sayne was killed in action during an16 insurgent attack in Shah Wali Kot, Kandahar Province,17 Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom on September 18,18 2011; and19 WHEREAS, Sgt. Sayne was the father of Timothy Kalvin and20 the brother of Cory (Jamie) Sayne, Joey (Desiree) Sayne, and21 Paige (George) Huntington; andSJ0062 - 2 - LRB104 21287 ECR 36044 r1 WHEREAS, Sgt. Sayne was known as a devoted father who was2 proud to serve his country; therefore, be it3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF5 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate the6 Fayette Avenue Interstates 57 and 70 Overpass in Effingham as7 the "Sgt. Timothy Sayne Memorial Overpass"; and be it further8 RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation9 is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with10 State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs11 giving notice of the name "Sgt. Timothy Sayne Memorial12 Overpass"; and be it further13 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be14 presented to the family of Sgt. Sayne and the Secretary of the15 Illinois Department of Transportation.
Designates the Fayette Avenue Interstates 57 and 70 Overpass in Effingham as the "Sgt. Timothy Sayne Memorial Overpass".
