 LEGISLATION: Provides for required disclosures on local notices
1A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
2 To adopt Joint Rule 23 of the Joint Rules of the Senate and House of Representatives,
3relative to notice of intent to introduce a bill to enact a local or special law; to require
4a notice that is caused to be published by a person other than a member of the
5legislature to include the name of the person who caused the notice to be published.
6BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of Louisiana that Joint Rule 23 of the Joint
7 Rules of the Senate and House of Representatives is hereby adopted to read as follows:
8Joint Rule No. 23. Required disclosure on certain notices of local or special laws
9A notice of the intent to introduce a bill to enact a local or special law as
10required by Article III, Section 13(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana that is caused
11to be published by a person other than a member of the legislature shall include the
12name of the person who caused the notice to be published.

 Abstract: Requires the notice for a local or special law caused to be published by a person
  other than a member of the legislature to include the name of the person who caused
  the notice to be published.
 Present constitution (Const. Art. III, Section 13(A)) provides that no local or special law
 shall be enacted unless notice of the intent to introduce a bill to enact such a law has been
 published on two separate days, without cost to the state, in the official journal of the locality
 where the matter to be affected is situated. The last day of publication shall be at least 30
 days prior to introduction of the bill.

Proposed Joint Rule provides that a notice of the intent to introduce a bill to enact a local or
special law that is caused to be published by a person other than a member of the legislature
shall include the name of the person who caused the notice to be published.
