Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONto recognize and honor Jimmy Crosby, a dedicatededucator in Richland School District Two for more than three decades and toexpress the deepest appreciation for his commitment to excellence and to hisstudents.Whereas, the members ofthe South Carolina House of Representatives value the work of dedicatedteachers in the Palmetto State, like Jimmy Crosby, who labor with devotion toprepare students to take their place in their communities as productivecitizens who can lead and participate; andWhereas, Mr. Crosby hasserved not only as an educator, but also as a mentor and advocate for students,and his impact has been felt across the Richland School District Two communityfor more than three decades; andWhereas, a native ofOrangeburg and proud alumnus of the University of South Carolina, Mr. Crosbydevoted thirty-one years of teaching both special education and social studieswith compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment; andWhereas, throughout hiscareer, he served students and families at Ridge View High School, WestwoodHigh School, Lake Carolina Elementary School, and Bookman Road ElementarySchool; andWhereas, known for hissteady encouragement and genuine care for others, Mr. Crosby consistently wentbeyond the classroom to support students academically, emotionally, andpersonally. His ability to see potential in young people and help them rise tonew heights left a lasting impression on countless students over the years; andWhereas, together withhis beloved wife of thirty-seven years, Stephanie Crosby, a dedicated employeeof Bookman Road Elementary School, he built a life centered around education,service, and family. Together they reared their devoted son, Jordan Crosby, agraduate of Ridge View High School; andWhereas, after alifetime of service in education, Mr. Crosby will leave a legacy reflected notonly in the schools where he taught, but also in the many lives he changedthrough his kindness, leadership, and belief in the potential of every student;andWhereas, the SouthCarolina House of Representatives is thankful for the work and dedication ofJimmy Crosby and the beneficial impact that his life and career have had ongenerations of students who are succeeding because of his care and the value hehas placed on their lives.
