A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team 1
as the 2026 Ohio ProStart Invitational Champion. 2
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 3
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Polaris 4
Career Center culinary arts team on winning the culinary team event at 5
the 2026 Ohio ProStart Invitational; and 6
WHEREAS, The members of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts 7
team are a remarkable group of students, combining talent and 8
competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to establish themselves 9
as a truly exemplary squad. With commendable dedication, they 10
performed admirably against teams from across the state, and as a 11
result, they won first place in their event at this year's Ohio 12
ProStart Invitational and qualified for the National ProStart 13
Invitational, where they placed third. Throughout long hours of 14
practice and preparation, the students have displayed a degree of 15
determination and motivation of which they can be proud; and 16
WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important contest, the 17
members of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team, Stephen 18
Gillespie, Teagan Leske, Ricardo Martinez, Esther Wilkinson, and Logan 19
Zawie, have had the opportunity to develop and express their 20
individual abilities and to acquire knowledge and information that 21
will be of great benefit to them throughout their lives. Having worked 22
diligently to sharpen their skills, they confronted competition with 23
confidence and enthusiasm and distinguished themselves as worthy 24
representatives of their school, community, and state; and 25
WHEREAS, The success of the Polaris Career Center culinary arts 26
team is a fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its 27
advisor, Chris Olszewski, who has given tirelessly of his time, 28

energy, and expertise to guide the members. The squad's 29
accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride not only for the 30
students but also for their advisor, their families, their school, and 31
their community. The maturity and experience the team members have 32
gained through their participation in this exciting activity will 33
greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be 34
it 35
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 36
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 37
applaud the Polaris Career Center culinary arts team for outstanding 38
achievement and honor the members and advisor as some of Ohio's finest 39
citizens; and be it further 40
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 41
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Polaris Career 42
Center culinary arts team. 43
