  A RESOLUTION
  Honoring the Archbold Fire Department on its  1
  Sesquicentennial.  2
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th   3
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Archbold Fire        4
Department on the One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary of its founding;      5
and  6
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting     7
tribute to the Archbold Fire Department, for since its establishment     8
in 1876, this fine agency has attained a praiseworthy record of  9
service to local residents and businesses. Indeed, the department's      10
achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent  11
reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its astute    12
leaders, on its hard-working members, and on the community it serves;    13
and  14
     WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in    15
life, the members of the Archbold Fire Department have risked their      16
own safety to ensure the well-being of their fellow citizens, and the    17
enthusiasm and devotion to duty they have shown in all of their  18
endeavors have earned them the gratitude and respect of all those they   19
have safeguarded. We are certain that as they maintain their  20
unwavering dedication to service, these individuals will continue in     21
the tradition of excellence that has long been the department's  22
hallmark; and  23
     WHEREAS, We are delighted to honor the many members of the  24
Archbold Fire Department, both past and present, for they have proven    25
themselves to be conscientious, valiant Ohioans. Considering the  26
bravery, commitment, and self-sacrifice of these heroes, it is no        27
surprise that they inspire such trust and confidence, and without a      28

doubt, their noteworthy accomplishments demonstrate the potential of       29
individuals to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our        30
society; therefore be it  31
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     32
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,  33
congratulate the Archbold Fire Department on the memorable occasion of     34
its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for  35
ongoing prosperity; and be it further  36
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     37
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Archbold Fire  38
Department.  39
