hr46/introduced.txt26LC 112 4312House Resolution 46EXBy: Representatives Reeves of the 99th, Hong of the 103rd, and Clark of the 100thA RESOLUTION1 Recognizing and commending the Broad Street Concert Band of Sugar Hill; and for other2 purposes.3 WHEREAS, the Broad Street Concert Band of Sugar Hill has become a treasured cultural4 asset within the City of Sugar Hill and throughout Gwinnett County, enriching the lives of5 residents through musical excellence, community engagement, and a steadfast commitment6 to the performing arts; and7 WHEREAS, the band is composed of dedicated volunteer musicians of diverse ages,8 backgrounds, and professions who unite around a shared passion for music and service,9 demonstrating the power of the arts to build community and foster connection; and10 WHEREAS, through concerts, civic performances, seasonal celebrations, and partnerships11 with local organizations and the City of Sugar Hill, the Broad Street Concert Band has12 provided countless opportunities for families, students, and seniors to experience high quality13 live music close to home; and14 WHEREAS, the band's presence has strengthened Sugar Hill's identity as a vibrant, creative,15 and culturally rich city, complementing the community's investment in the arts andH. R. 46EX-1-26LC 112 431216 contributing to the continued growth of the E Center, the Eagle Theatre, and the broader17 downtown arts district; and18 WHEREAS, the Broad Street Concert Band has served as an ambassador for Sugar Hill,19 representing the city with professionalism and pride while inspiring young musicians,20 supporting local schools, and encouraging lifelong participation in the arts; and21 WHEREAS, strong communities are built not only through infrastructure and commerce but22 also through the shared experiences that bring people together, and the Broad Street Concert23 Band has played a meaningful role in strengthening the social and cultural fabric of Sugar24 Hill; and25 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to honor organizations whose contributions uplift the26 spirit of their communities and reflect the values of service, creativity, and civic pride.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize and commend the Broad Street Concert Band of Sugar29 Hill for its positive impact on the Sugar Hill community and extend sincere best wishes for30 its continued success and growth.31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized32 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the33 Broad Street Concert Band of Sugar Hill.H.
