                               A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing and commending Santos Taqueria Express; and for other purposes.
2 WHEREAS, since March 2002, Santos Taqueria Express has served the people of
3 McDonough authentic Mexican food and earned a treasured place in Henry County; and
4 WHEREAS, what began as a simple dream has grown into a thriving small business through
5 the dedication and tireless work of Fulgencio Santos and Elizabeth Santos; and
6 WHEREAS, their story reflects the very heart of the American dream—that through faith,
7 family, and hard work, ordinary people can build something extraordinary and leave their
8 community better than they found it; and
9 WHEREAS, for more than 20 years, they have opened their doors each day to feed families,
10 welcome every guest as a neighbor, and bring genuine care to every meal they serve; and
11 WHEREAS, Santos Taqueria Express embodies the spirit of the small businesses that give
12 a community its character, its warmth, and its heart; and

13 WHEREAS, children who first came through its doors as little ones have grown up and
14 returned as adults, strangers have become regulars, and regulars have become family.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
16 the members of this body recognize and commend Santos Taqueria Express for more than
17 two decades of outstanding service to McDonough and extend their sincere admiration and
18 best wishes to Fulgencio Santos, Elizabeth Santos, and their family.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
20 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
21 Santos Taqueria Express.
