hr48/introduced.txt26LC 112 4320House Resolution 48EXBy: Representatives Bell of the 75th, McQueen of the 61st, Cannon of the 58th, Holland of the54th, and Myles of the 126thA RESOLUTION1 Recognizing and commending RAHBI for his outstanding contributions to the arts, culture,2 and the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, RAHBI is a dynamic and innovative musical artist whose work embodies4 sophistication, boldness, and genre-defying creativity, earning him recognition as a true5 original in the modern music landscape; and6 WHEREAS, a proud native of Atlanta, RAHBI began his professional journey as a member7 of the 1990s boy band 4th Avenue under LaFace Records, laying the foundation for a career8 marked by artistic excellence and evolution; and9 WHEREAS, he further honed his craft while touring internationally with Donnie, a Motown10 Records recording artist, gaining global exposure and deepening his impact as a performer;11 and12 WHEREAS, since embarking on his solo career, RAHBI has emerged as one of Atlanta's13 most sought-after independent artists, captivating audiences with electrifying performances14 on renowned stages such as AFROPUNK and the historic Apollo Theater, as well as venues15 throughout Europe; andH. R. 48EX-1-26LC 112 432016 WHEREAS, his artistry has garnered acclaim from influential cultural icons including17 Janelle Monáe and Erykah Badu, affirming his position as a powerful and respected voice18 in contemporary music; and19 WHEREAS, as the founder of "STRANGE," Atlanta's premier live music concert series,20 RAHBI has created a platform that celebrates individuality, fosters community, and21 champions creative freedom for emerging and established artists alike; and22 WHEREAS, beyond the stage, RAHBI continues to uplift and inspire through his leadership23 and service as Music Director at Temple of God Church in East Atlanta, the Black Acting24 Methods Studio in West Midtown, and with True Colors Theatre Company under the25 direction of Kenny Leon, as well as contributing to Paramount Pictures television26 productions; and27 WHEREAS, RAHBI's work transcends music, transforming it into a movement that uplifts,28 empowers, and encourages all individuals to embrace their authentic selves unapologetically.29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that30 the members of this body recognize and commend RAHBI for his exceptional talent, cultural31 impact, and unwavering commitment to artistic expression and community empowerment.32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to34 RAHBI.H.
