                                 A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing and commending Councilwoman Richelle Brown for her outstanding
2 leadership, unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, community advancement, and
3 cultural inclusion; and for other purposes.
4 WHEREAS, Councilwoman Richelle Brown serves with distinction as a member of the
5 Snellville City Council and as Chair of the Snellville Youth Council, where she has dedicated
6 herself to empowering residents, fostering civic engagement, and creating opportunities for
7 future generations of leaders; and
8 WHEREAS, throughout her career of public service, Councilwoman Brown has
9 demonstrated an unwavering commitment to strengthening communities and advancing
10 economic and civic development through her service as a former Board Member of Snellville
11 Tourism and Trade and former Chair of The Grove at Towne Center Residents Association;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, she has consistently championed the principle that every individual deserves
14 to be recognized, respected, and celebrated for their unique identity, and her leadership has
15 inspired residents from all backgrounds to embrace diversity, honor cultural heritage, and
16 contribute meaningfully to their community; and

17 WHEREAS, as Chair of the Snellville Youth Council, Councilwoman Brown has cultivated
18 a new generation of leaders by providing students with opportunities for civic engagement,
19 leadership development, public service, and community involvement, empowering young
20 people to become active participants in shaping the future of their city and state; and
21 WHEREAS, her visionary leadership and steadfast support of the Snellville Youth Council's
22 Juneteenth: Unity Day Celebration have transformed the event into a powerful platform for
23 education, cultural awareness, civic participation, and community unity, while creating
24 opportunities for students to serve as planners, ambassadors, and leaders in honoring the
25 significance of Juneteenth and celebrating the rich diversity of the City of Snellville; and
26 WHEREAS, through her mentorship and guidance, students within the Snellville Youth
27 Council have achieved remarkable success and recognition, including receiving a State of
28 Georgia Resolution honoring the organization, the 2026 She Rocks Life Flame Award from
29 the Gwinnett Women's Chamber of Commerce, and the Woman of Honor Award from
30 Believe Again Global, reflecting her dedication to developing confident, service-minded, and
31 accomplished young leaders; and
32 WHEREAS, Councilwoman Brown is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness,
33 educational equity, scholarship opportunities, and youth development initiatives, recognizing
34 that access to resources and support is essential to unlocking the full potential of every young
35 person; and
36 WHEREAS, her leadership has positively impacted countless individuals by creating
37 pathways to success, expanding opportunities for underserved populations, and fostering a
38 culture of service, inclusion, and civic responsibility throughout the City of Snellville and
39 Gwinnett County; and

40 WHEREAS, Councilwoman Brown's legacy is reflected not only in the offices she has held
41 but in the lives she has transformed, the leaders she has mentored, and the opportunities she
42 has created for others to thrive and succeed; and
43 WHEREAS, her exemplary record of service, leadership, and dedication has earned her the
44 admiration and respect of colleagues, constituents, community organizations, and the citizens
45 she faithfully serves.
46 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
47 the members of this body recognize and commend Councilwoman Richelle Brown for her
48 exceptional contributions to youth empowerment, community advancement, cultural
49 inclusion, and public service and extend to her their sincerest appreciation for her continued
50 dedication to improving the lives of others.
51 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
52 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
53 Councilwoman Richelle Brown.
