Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A house RESOLUTIONTO CONGRATULATE AND RECOGNIZE ENRIQUE "HENRY" GRACEOF NORTH CHARLESTON FOR THE MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE HE HAS MADE IN THE LIVES OFCOUNTLESS RESIDENTS OF HIS COMMUNITY THROUGH HIS UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TOFAMILIES, PUBLIC EDUCATION, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND PUBLIC SAFETY THROUGHOUTTHE NORTH CHARLESTON AREA.Whereas, it is adistinct privilege to salute those worthy individuals who serve their state byworking to improve quality of life for residents of their communities. Enrique"Henry" Grace of North Charleston is high among those who deserve to be sohonored; andWhereas, as a boardmember of Learn4Life Charleston High School in North Charleston, Mr. Grace hasdemonstrated exceptional dedication to creating opportunities for students whooften face significant academic, social, and economic barriers. Through his servantleadership, he has championed educational pathways that help young peopleovercome adversity, complete their education, and build productive futures. Hisleadership reflects a deep belief that every student deserves access to hope,opportunity, and supportive community. Since the time that Learn4LifeCharleston and Mr. Grace began their relationship through various partnerships,both the Hispanic student population and local families being supported havegrown to meaningful and impactful levels; andWhereas, Mr. Grace'swork extends beyond his contributions with the Learn4Life program. He hasconsistently advocated for stronger community partnerships that unite schools,families, local organizations, and civic leaders. His leadership efforts withthe Charleston Hispanic Association and Latin Exchange Club have focused onempowering people of diverse economic backgrounds, strengthening neighborhoods,and promoting safe environments. Moreover, he was instrumental in establishingthe first Multinational Consulate Days in Charleston, held at Exchange Park;andWhereas, at a time whenCharleston-area law enforcement agencies have confronted significant publicsafety challenges, including multiagency operations targeting organizedcriminal activity and cartel-related influences in the region, communityleaders such as Mr. Grace have remained focused on prevention, education, andpositive youth engagement. Public reports regarding a fourteen-agency operationthat resulted in the arrest of high-level cartel members underscore theimportance of community-based leadership that helps steer young people towardconstructive opportunities and away from criminal influences; andWhereas, Mr. Graceunderstands that lasting community safety begins with education, mentorship,and investment in young people. Through his volunteer leadership andhumanitarian spirit, he has helped strengthen the bridge between educationalinstitutions such as Learn4Life Charleston and the communities they serve. Hisapproach reflects compassion, service, and a commitment to creating lastingpositive change. Those who know Mr. Grace recognize him as a servant leaderwhose actions consistently place the well-being of others first. Whetheradvocating for students, supporting families, or engaging with communitypartners, he exemplifies the values of integrity, responsibility, and civicservice that make South Carolina stronger.
