A house RESOLUTION
to recognize the pendleton recreation association
12U All-star baseball team for their historic 2026 season, to congratulate them
for winning the south carolina D2 "0" zone state championship title, and for
advancing to the world series in Mississippi.
Whereas, the Pendleton
Recreation Association 12U All-Star Baseball Team, proudly known as the
Pendleton Bulldogs, demonstrated exceptional talent, teamwork, perseverance,
sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the 2026 baseball season; and
Whereas, the Pendleton
Bulldogs earned the 2026 South Carolina Dizzy Dean D2 "0" Zone State
Championship, securing the opportunity to represent the State of South Carolina
at the Dizzy Dean 12U World Series in Mississippi; and
Whereas, the team's
advancement marked the first appearance by a Pendleton 12U baseball team in the
World Series in twenty-six years, making history for the Pendleton Recreation
Association and the Town of Pendleton; and
Whereas, throughout
their championship season and World Series competition, the players
demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, respect for their opponents,
exemplary character, positive attitudes, and pride in representing their
hometown and the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, the Town of
Pendleton recognizes the dedication and countless hours invested by Head Coach
Douglas Stettler, Assistant Coach Johnny Leopard, and Assistant Coach Nathan
Leopard, whose leadership and commitment helped guide these young athletes to
an extraordinary season; and
Whereas, the town further
recognizes the unwavering support and encouragement provided by the players'
families, volunteers, sponsors, the Pendleton Recreation Association, and the entire
community, whose collective efforts contributed to this historic achievement;
and
Whereas, the members of
the 2026 Pendleton Recreation Association 12U All-Star Baseball Team are Cowan
Crawford, Bennett Saalfeld, Colton Craft, Jax Thomason, Dylan Lockaby, Bentley
Leopard, Charlie McPhail, Caleb Stettler, Isson Baker, Colt Wood, Javy
Maldonado, and Mason Wall; and
Whereas, although their
World Series run concluded in Mississippi, the Pendleton Bulldogs returned home
as champions in the hearts of their community, having represented Pendleton
with distinction, integrity, and Bulldog pride while inspiring future
generations of young athletes. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the
South Carolina House of Representatives,
by this resolution, recognize the Pendleton Recreation Association 12U All-Star
Baseball Team for their historic 2026 season, to congratulate them for winning
the South Carolina D2 "0" Zone State Championship title, and for advancing to
the World Series in Mississippi.
Be it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Pendleton Recreation
Association 12U All-Star Baseball team.
