Document has been reformatted to meet World Wide Web specifications.)A senate RESOLUTIONTO CONGRATULATE Frank Hatten UPON THE OCCASION OFHIS RETIREMENT, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS many YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, AND TOWISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.Whereas, the members ofthe South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Frank Hatten upon theoccasion of his retirement from Boeing South Carolina on September 1, 2026; andWhereas, a native ofTuskegee, Alabama, Mr. Hatten is an alumnus of Tuskegee University, TheUniversity of North Carolina - Charlotte, and George Washington University; andWhereas, Mr. Hattenworked as a project manager for over thirty years at the International BusinessMachines Corporation (IBM). After a storied career at IBM, he decided to takean early retirement to pursue his dream of becoming an educator; andWhereas, Mr. Hattenaccepted a position with Global Aeronautica in 2007, at the South Carolinafuselage subassembly facility in North Charleston. He worked as an aircraftmechanic for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner program while completing aircraftmaintenance certification at Trident Technical College. He later became aprogram manager in the business office, managing relationships with companypartners for all inbound work. He served in this position for five years beforebecoming an education relations specialist where his primary responsibility wassite focal for K-12 outreach initiatives for South Carolina; andWhereas, a civicleader, Mr. Hatten has served with many community organizations, including the Cityof North Charleston Recreation Department; Four Rivers Community DevelopmentCorporation; Liberty Hill Afterschool Enrichment Program; Scouting of America, CoastalCarolina District; National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) CharlestonProfessional; Charleston County School District; Dorchester County SchoolDistrict II; Fort Dorchester High School Athletics; Lowcountry AviationAssociation (LCAA); Tuskegee University; Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. - Hiram MannJoint Base Charleston chapter; Tuskegee National Alumni Association, Inc. -Columbia chapter; and the Tuskegee Human Rights and Multicultural Center; andWhereas, a devoutChristian, he is a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church; andWhereas, Mr. Hatten is theproud father of two sons, Frank and Daniel; andWhereas, the members ofthe South Carolina Senate appreciate the passion and dedication that FrankHatten has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina.
