A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE IRMO INSURANCE AGENCY AT THE
CELEBRATION OF ITS FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF SERVICE IN SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO
CONGRATULATE THE COMPANY ON A HALF-CENTURY OF SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS ENDEAVORS IN
THIS GREAT STATE.
Whereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the Irmo Insurance
Agency is celebrating the business's half-century mark in 2026; and
Whereas, the agency was
founded on September 14, 1976, by Robin McIntyre Moseley with the advice and
encouragement of Reaves H. Gasque and Leslie W. Clemmons. Robin's husband,
Charles Robert "Bob" Moseley, left a nineteen-year career in banking to join her
at the agency in 1979. Although the elder Moseleys are retired now, their
founding influence is still felt in the leadership of their son, Scott Moseley,
who joined the agency in 1992 and currently serves as agency president; and
Whereas, Bob and Robin
conceived the idea of starting an independent insurance agency through the
experience of Robin's mother, who worked with the Gasque-Clemmons Agency in
Marion; and
Whereas, after five
decades of service, Irmo Insurance continues to emphasize customer service
while providing insurance options for small businesses, life, health, home, and
auto coverage. A proud member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers
of South Carolina, this family-owned agency writes insurance all over South
Carolina and is also licensed in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee; and
Whereas, appreciative
of its contributions to the prosperity of the Palmetto State, the House of
Representatives takes great pleasure in honoring Irmo Insurance Agency on the
occasion of the business's fiftieth anniversary, and the members extend best
wishes for much continued success in the years to come. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the
South Carolina House of Representatives,
by this resolution, recognize Irmo Insurance Agency at the celebration of its
fiftieth anniversary of service in South Carolina and congratulate the company
on a half-century of successful business endeavors in this great State.
Be it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Irmo Insurance Agency.
