JEFFERSON CITY, MO - State Budget Director Dan Haug announced today that net general revenue collections for August 2026 increased 4.1 percent compared to those for August 2025, from $1.03 billion last year to $1.07 billion this year. Net general revenue collections for 2026 fiscal year-to-date increased 4.5 percent compared to August 2025, from $1.87 billion last year to $1.95 billion this year.

Individual income tax collections

- Increased 3.9 percent for the year, from $1.23 billion last year to $1.28 billion this year. - Increased 5.3 percent for the month.

Pass Through Entity tax collections

- Increased 3.1 percent for the year, from $26.5 million last year to $27.3 million this year. - Increased 2.7 percent for the month.

Sales and use tax collections

- Increased 5.8 percent for the year, from $601.0 million last year to $635.8 million this year. - Increased 2.9 percent for the month.

Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections

- Increased 6.1 percent for the year, from $49.4 million last year to $52.5 million this year. - Decreased 22.3 percent for the month.

All other collections

- Decreased 21.4 percent for the year, from $136.2 million last year to $107.0 million this year. - Decreased 16.2 percent for the month.

Refunds

- Decreased 15.5 percent for the year, from $171.7 million last year to $145.1 million this year. - Decreased 11.9 percent for the month.
