BISMARCK -- North Dakota lawmakers have narrowly killed a ban on kratom in a special session.
Senate Bill 2408 failed in the House on Friday, Sept. 4, in a 46-47 vote. The bill would have criminalized both synthetic and natural kratom.
The House will vote on a bill to regulate natural kratom, but the bill doesn't address synthetic kratom. It includes a 21-year-old purchasing restriction and labeling requirements.
