OPINION | EDITORIAL: Who should decide America’s future?

The subject of noncitizen voting has been in the news recently. New Jersey's governor admitted their state allowed 6,600 noncitizens to register to vote, with an estimated 400 actually casting ballots. Meanwhile, the U.S. Congress continues to debate the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which among other things would require individuals to provide documented proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.
