1A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Representative Craig
2    Haggard.
3Whereas, Representative Craig Haggard, who was first
4    elected to represent the citizens of House District 57 in 2022,
5    will be leaving the House Chamber for the last time at the end
6    of the 2026 legislative session;
7      Whereas, During his four years of service in the Indiana
8    House of Representatives, Representative Haggard has served
9    on the Environmental Affairs Committee, the Roads and
10    Transportation Committee, and the Veteran Affairs and Public
11    Safety Committee;
12      Whereas, In addition to his work at the Statehouse,
13    Representative Haggard is a commercial broker and a small
14    business owner. He served as a field representative for the

1    National Rifle Association (NRA) for six years;
2      Whereas, Representative Haggard is a graduate of Hanover
3    College;
4Whereas, He is a proud combat veteran, having served in the
5    United States Marine Corps as an AV-8B Harrier aviator for
6    11 years, then transitioning to the Indiana Air National Guard
7    and continuing his reserve service for another 11 years;
8Whereas, During his service, he flew an F-16 Viper and
9    served as the commander of Headquarters Detachment One at
10    Camp Atterbury;
11Whereas, He retired from the service as a lieutenant colonel
12    in 2013;
13Whereas, Throughout his career as a state legislator,
14    Representative Haggard has been an advocate for Indiana
15    veterans and has authored numerous bills supporting veteran
16    services;
17      Whereas, Haggard is a loving husband to his wife, Brooke,
18    and a proud father to Isabella, Eleyna, Aidan, and Ian;
19      Whereas, Representative Haggard is an active member of the
20    Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, and he is
21    an elected member of the NRA National Board of Directors;
22    and
23Whereas, Representative Craig Haggard has served his
24    constituency loyally and faithfully since his election to the
25    Indiana House of Representatives: Therefore,
26Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the
27General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
28      SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives
29    honors Representative Craig Haggard upon his retirement.
30      SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
31    Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to
32    Representative Craig Haggard.
