hr0020/introduced.txt*HR1523*Introduced VersionHOUSERESOLUTION No. ___Introduced by: Steuerwald____________________________________1A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Representative Craig2 Haggard.3Whereas, Representative Craig Haggard, who was first4 elected to represent the citizens of House District 57 in 2022,5 will be leaving the House Chamber for the last time at the end6 of the 2026 legislative session;7 Whereas, During his four years of service in the Indiana8 House of Representatives, Representative Haggard has served9 on the Environmental Affairs Committee, the Roads and10 Transportation Committee, and the Veteran Affairs and Public11 Safety Committee;12 Whereas, In addition to his work at the Statehouse,13 Representative Haggard is a commercial broker and a small14 business owner. He served as a field representative for the20262394HR 1523/DI 140 202621 National Rifle Association (NRA) for six years;2 Whereas, Representative Haggard is a graduate of Hanover3 College;4Whereas, He is a proud combat veteran, having served in the5 United States Marine Corps as an AV-8B Harrier aviator for6 11 years, then transitioning to the Indiana Air National Guard7 and continuing his reserve service for another 11 years;8Whereas, During his service, he flew an F-16 Viper and9 served as the commander of Headquarters Detachment One at10 Camp Atterbury;11Whereas, He retired from the service as a lieutenant colonel12 in 2013;13Whereas, Throughout his career as a state legislator,14 Representative Haggard has been an advocate for Indiana15 veterans and has authored numerous bills supporting veteran16 services;17 Whereas, Haggard is a loving husband to his wife, Brooke,18 and a proud father to Isabella, Eleyna, Aidan, and Ian;19 Whereas, Representative Haggard is an active member of the20 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, and he is21 an elected member of the NRA National Board of Directors;22 and23Whereas, Representative Craig Haggard has served his24 constituency loyally and faithfully since his election to the25 Indiana House of Representatives: Therefore,26Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the27General Assembly of the State of Indiana:28 SECTION 1.
