scr0025/introduced.txtIntroduced VersionSENATE CONCURRENTRESOLUTION No. _____DIGEST OF INTRODUCED RESOLUTIONA CONCURRENT RESOLUTION celebrating the legacy of Abigail"Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German.ALTING, re ad first time and referred to Committee on2026 RC 1530/DI JRIntroducedSecond Regular Session 124th General Assembly (2026)SENATE CONCURRENTRESOLUTION No. _____1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION celebrating the legacy2 of Abigail "Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German.3 Whereas, Students at Delphi Community Middle School in4 Delphi, Indiana, Abby and Libby were more like sisters than5 friends and followed each other wherever the other went;6 Whereas, Both girls were on the volleyball team, played in7 the middle school band, and had almost all of their8 extracurricular activities aligned with each other;9 Whereas, Libby aspired to be a forensic scientist to help the10 police solve crimes and loved arts and crafts, spending time11 going on adventures, and vacationing with family;12 Whereas, Abby enjoyed reading, photography, spending13 time outdoors, and loved all animals, particularly her cat,14 Bongo;15 Whereas, The Abby and Libby Memorial Park opened in16 Delphi in 2021 with an inaugural softball tournament in honor17 of these two young girls whose lives were taken far too soon;18 and19 Whereas, The legacy Abby and Libby have left behind will20 inspire future generations to live with purpose and play with21 passion: Therefore,22Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly23of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives2026 RC 1530/DI JR21concurring:2 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly celebrates3 the life and legacy of Abby and Libby.4 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed5 to transmit copies of this Resolution to the families of Abby6 Williams and Libby German.2026 RC 1530/DI JR
