1     WHEREAS, Senator Judy Warnick has devoted nearly two decades to
2 exemplary service in the Washington State Legislature, first elected
3 to the House of Representatives in 2007 and later to the Senate in
4 2015; and
5     WHEREAS, She quickly demonstrated her leadership and ability to
6 guide and inspire her colleagues, serving first as Vice Chair of the
7 Senate Republican Caucus beginning in 2017 and later assuming the
8 role of Chair in 2021, while faithfully representing the constituents
9 of the 13th Legislative District as a model of civic advocacy; and
10     WHEREAS, Throughout her legislative career, Senator Warnick has
11 been widely recognized for her stewardship of agriculture and natural
12 resource policy, assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Agriculture,
13 Water & Rural Economic Development Committee upon entering the Senate
14 in 2015 and championing the interests of farmers, ranchers, small
15 business owners, and families who form the backbone of Washington's
16 agricultural economy, bringing rural voices to Olympia; and
17     WHEREAS, Having grown up on a dairy farm and later operating a
18 small farm and business of her own, Senator Warnick has brought
19 invaluable firsthand experience to her work in the Legislature,
20 grounding her decisions in practical knowledge and thoughtful insight
21 that support agricultural sustainability, rural economic opportunity,
22 water resource management, and small business growth; and

1     WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has also provided leadership
2 through service on key committees and boards, including Ways &
3 Means, Human Services, Higher Education & Workforce Development,
4 the Joint Long-Term Services & Supports Trust Commission, and
5 numerous other task forces and advisory bodies, advancing
6 legislation related to public safety, workforce training,
7 economic development, and water security; and
8     WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has demonstrated a long-standing
9 commitment to strengthening communities through her active
10 involvement in organizations, such as 4-H, the Grant County
11 Fair, Backcountry Horsemen of Washington, and several other
12 civic and professional associations; and
13     WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's long-standing passion for women
14 empowerment has not faded since her prestigious recognition as a
15 Woman of Achievement three decades ago, and she continues to
16 drive social change today with her tireless advocacy for youth
17 and women's sports, as well as her dedication to protecting
18 safety, including efforts to promote fairness, safety, and
19 opportunity in women's athletics, reflecting a commitment to
20 expanding opportunities for future generations; and
21      WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's leadership and accomplishments
22 have    been  recognized   through   numerous   honors,    including
23 Legislator of the Year awards from the Association of Washington
24 Business, Cattle Producers of Washington, and the Washington
25 State Potato Commission, as well as Friend of the Farm Bureau,
26 NFIB's Guardian of Small Business, Moses Lake Boys and Girls
27 Club's Champion of Youth, the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce's
28 President's Award, and other honors reflecting her enduring
29 impact on the state's communities, economy, and public policy;
30 and
31      WHEREAS,  Senator   Warnick   has   earned   the   respect   of
32 colleagues across the aisle for her collaborative approach,
33 principled leadership, and steadfast dedication to the people of
34 Washington;
35      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State
36 Senate honor, celebrate, and express its deep appreciation for
37 Senator Judy Warnick's distinguished service and her many

1  contributions to the people and communities of Washington State;
2  and
3      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be
4  immediately transmitted by the Secretary of the Senate to
5  Senator Judy Warnick and her family as a token of the Senate's
6  respect and gratitude for her dedicated public service.
